My question of the hour had me searching through shopping sites to compare prices, and I landed on the perfect one! It was madness seeing the bag was listed like it was already worn with dirt and rips and tears and I was totally taken in. I decided I had to get this bag even if it wasn’t as much of a “real” thing as the others had.
After I purchased it I eagerly waited for it to arrive, completely forgetting that no matter how real they made it look, it was still made out of plastic. When I opened the box I was so shocked to see it had a manufacturer’s tag on it, with the date of production! It was sort of disappointing, but still, it was pretty cool for something that looked so rugged and genuine.
The design seemed so eclectic, but I loved it, and it would go great with all my denim stuff. I could wear it to the beach, to school, and pretty much anywhere. It had the perfect distressed look and it was super comfy to lug around, a totally different experience compared to a brand new designer bag.
What I liked best of all is that this bag made me look street smart and ended up making me feel confident. I could imagine what it was like to actually have a bag worn down by use and tear. And it made me look more mature and trendy, something I had never felt with my previous accessories.
But the downside of this was that I had to hear the same comment from everyone I came across: “Is that real!” I usually just smiled politely and said, “It’s a worn wear bag!”
It felt like I was advertising for the company because everyone wanted to know where I got it from. At the end of the day, it was definitely worth the buy. Although, next time I’m going to look for a more authentic “worn wear” bag.
To me, this fake worn wear bag was more than a fashion statement, it was a statement about my style and attitude. I felt an empowering sense of ✨command when I looked into the mirror and saw this amazing bag on my shoulder. The amount of compliments made me feel great about my decisions and this fake bag was becoming the star of my wardrobe.
The bag sparked conversations and allowed me to be the main focus for once. When I told people it was fake, their curious faces just made the story more interesting. It really gave me a sense of independence, like I was defining my own unique fashion statement. And along with all the compliments and conversations, it also gave me the gift of confidence.
Although, one can never be too sure of the quality and durability of a fake worn-wear bag. I experienced all sorts of issues with the material, like small tears and popping of certain parts. It was definitely not real leather, so the material was a bit unstable and expected repair sessions. The bag also started to discolour after repeating uses, and felt much thinner and fragile than it looked.
I still wear it from time to time, just for the fun of it, but if you’re looking for an everlasting worn-wear bag, it’s definitely best to go for the real thing. Don’t let temptation lead you astray, be sure of what you are buying!
