My curiosity first arose when I saw my friend wearing a BAPE shoulder bag. I instantly thought it was one of the most beautiful and stylish bags I have ever seen. I wanted one too, and so I started to do some research about it. Little did I know, BAPE shoulder bags are pretty fakeable, and it made me a little bit anxious.
When I asked my friend how she got her BAPE shoulder bag, she just shrugged and said it was from a friend. It seemed strange to me — why would someone just give away such a beautiful bag? I couldn’t help but wonder if it was real or not.
So, with my detective hat on, I started looking around for clues. Was there any sign to indicate that the bag was fake? I looked closely, and noticed that the material wasn’t as high quality as expected. There were little threads sticking out, and the zippers felt cheap. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bag was from a knockoff shop.
Next, I compared the bag to the official website. One of the most obvious differences were the logos. On the real BAPE shoulder bag, you can find a perfect logo in the center of the bag. But mine had a slightly different font, and it wasn’t as symmetrical.
Finally, I had to consider the price. The retail price of a real BAPE shoulder bag was ridiculously high — more than I could’ve ever dreamed of buying. But my friend’s version was just a fraction of that. Suspicious? Yes. Fake? Most likely.
At this point, I’m pretty sure the BAPE shoulder bag is a fake. But it’s not all bad news — the bag looks great, and I’m still proud to show it off. I’m still leaning towards buying a real one someday, but until then, I’m more than happy to rock my counterfeit bag.
