At first, I was so excited that I didn’t even bother to check on the authenticity of the bag. I just assumed it was genuine and paid the price listed. But now, I’m starting to think I may have been duped. It’s driving me mad!
So, I started researching online about how to tell if a fossil bag is a counterfeit or not. Apparently, it’s quite easy to spot a fake if you know what to look out for. I read a lot of stories about people who have been stuck with counterfeit bags, so I want to make sure I’m not making the same mistake.
So far, I have noticed a few irregularities in my bag. First off, the stitching on the bag is uneven here and there. I also noticed the texture and feel of the material is not as smooth as the other genuine ones.
Another interesting observation is the colour of the leather. Most genuine fossil bags are deep brown, while mine is more tan. I assume this is due to the tanning process. Lastly, the logos and insignias on the bag look a bit faded and off-colour.
Now, I’m feeling really anxious about finding out if this bag is genuine or not. If it is a fake, then I’m out of pocket for sure. I really hope I haven’t been fooled.
So, at the moment I haven’t been able to reach a conclusion but I’m hoping to find out soon. I sent an email to a customer service rep a few days ago so maybe they can shed some light on the matter.
For now, I think it’s best that I just practice caution and not display my bag in public until I find out if it’s a fake or not. I wouldn’t want to put myself in the embarrassing position of having a fake bag.
Fingers crossed that either I can find out the answer soon, or perhaps, in some miracle, it really is the genuine thing. Only time will tell...
