As it turns out, it’s actually more common than you’d think. Celebrities want to look their best when they go to events – so they buy knockoff or replica bags so that they can look good without having to spend large amounts of money. It’s actually pretty smart if you ask me, but of course there is the ethical dilemma of whether or not it’s ok to be buying these fake bags.
I guess it all comes down to personal opinion. Some people may think it’s ok – if it looks good, what’s the harm in buying something that resembles a designer bag but costs way less? Other people may be put off by the idea of people having fake bags because they feel like it goes against the integrity of the designer or structured brands.
But what I think is more important to note is how these celebrities are so bold about it – they go out in public proudly carrying fake bags and often get away with it. I know this because I have witnessed a number of celebrities nonchalantly walking around with counterfeit products and it always made me wonder if anyone actually noticed. It makes me question the price tags on all the designer products that they have too because if celebrities can pull off buying the same style of bag, at a way cheaper price, what’s stopping everyone?
Not to say you should go out and buy designer knockoffs because it’s definitely not a great idea to support those kinds of companies – but it’s definitely interesting to know that celebrities aren’t as wealthy as you thought they looked. Because it does make you wonder how people are so in-tune with these trends, while still managing to stay on budget.
It might be that celebrities have their own personal shopper’s that support them in acquiring the most stylish items and it’s their job to scour the internet for the best designer replicas. It might also be that celebrities are way bigger money savers than anyone expects. It’s almost as if they hire people to make their lives easier – so that they can spend less money and still look like a million bucks.
So you see, it’s not as uncommon as you might think for celebrities to buy fake bags. They are often convinced to do so by their personal shoppers and stylists – who find the best replicas of designer items that are currently in style – saving their clients a fortune in the process.
