This past weekend I had the misfortune of finding out about Posh Bags Fake Bags. Oof! Talk about being misled. I had purchased what I thought were the real luxury designer items only to found out the hard way that they were very much generic knockoffs.
My friend, who had teased me for splurging on these designer bags, proudly mentioned to me that she too had purchased a bag online. When I asked her if it was the real deal, she scoffed and remarked that she bought it from “one of those knockoff sites.”
I thought I was being so clever by getting a “designer inspired” bag that was a fraction of the price of the real designer bags. Instead I ended up with an inferior product that was obviously fake, and had wasted my money.
It was hard to accept that I had been scammed out of my money. But, being the savvy shopper that I am, I decided to investigate the matter. I was appalled to discover how huge of an industry fake bags have become. Shockingly, it is estimated that 10-15% of all luxury bags are fake. That’s a lot of knockoff bags!
According to numerous consumer reports, the quality of the fake bags is highly questionable. Many of them are made from cheap materials and often have the wrong logos and serial numbers. This is why it is so easy to be fooled into buying them!
As for the prices, let’s just say they’re a lot more economical than the prices of authentic designer bags. Scarily, these fake bags are becoming increasingly difficult to detect. It’s obvious that the people who create these knockoffs put a lot of effort into making them look authentic.
Obviously, I learned my lesson the hard way. I hope my story serves as a warning to other shoppers who are searching for designer bags on a budget. The only way to guarantee a real product is to buy it from an authorized dealer. Otherwise you might land up with a Posh Bag Fake Bag!
