burberry bag how to spot a fake

One of the things I’m most passionate about is fashion. I love to stay up to date with the latest trends, especially when it comes to bags! Burberry bags are some of my absolute faves, and I’m sure you’ve heard of the iconic check print – so iconic that it has been counterfeited too. Counterfeiters have gotten very good at making Burberry bags look like the real thing, but since I don’t have that kind of money to buy original designer pieces, I have to be careful when I shop for Burberrys. Let me tell you how to spot a fake according to my tips!

First things first, pay attention to the tags. Counterfeit Burberry bags often use incorrect logos. Authentic bags feature the Burberry logo with the signature “B” on its own, without any other symbols or characters, while the replica ones often have a series of numbers and letters.

Then take a look at the pattern. The print on an authentic bag will be in precise lines with the colors showing up in exactly the same width every time: blacks, whites and reds in perfect harmony. Fake Burberry bags, on the other hand, usually have a muddy look, with colors fading or bleeding into each other, or even just looking uneven.

Next, check the material. A real Burberry bag is made from the finest and most expensive material, so it should feel soft and dense to the touch. A fake bag, however, will feel rough and too stiff. Plus, the material used on a knock-off will be much cheaper.

Also, examine the stitching. Unlike fake bags that have sloppy stitching, genuine Burberrys feature neat and even seams – a sure sign of quality.

Finally, genuine Burberrys will also come with special care cards and tags that identify them as authentic. Fake Burberry bags tend to leave these out, so if you see them, consider it a good sign.

Back to the main topic, as you can see, there’s a lot to consider when looking for an authentic Burberry bag. It’s not as simple as just going into a store and buying the first piece you find. If you want a genuine bag, follow my tips and don’t take chances. It’s worth taking that extra effort to invest in an original Burberry rather than settling for a cheap knock-off.

In addition to tags, patterns, material, stitching, and care tags, you’ll also want to pay attention to the price. Genuine Burberrys can be very expensive and if you come across one that’s too cheap then it’s likely a fake. So, inspect the price too!

Finally, make sure you always buy from a trusted seller. If you’re buying second hand, you’re likely to get a better deal than buying from the store, but you’ll want to be extra careful when doing that. Genuine second-hand Burberrys might still have some of the tags and labels, so they’ll be easier to verify.

Now, if you’re ever in doubt you can always go online and check the reviews of a particular seller to make sure you’re getting an authentic piece. I’ve always had good luck with this method, and I’ve found great deals online this way.

In addition to this, if you’re shopping in person, always look for stores that offer a guarantee of authenticity. Stores that are proud of their product would be more than happy to offer this kind of assurance, so shop around and find one that does. That way you can rest assured that you’re getting a real Burberry bag.
