I’m sure we all know at least one person who spent way too much money on a designer bag just to have the entirety of the world convinced with its authenticity. Trust me, I know plenty of people who have, and I understand why they do it – it’s a status symbol! But with all of the knockoff bags out there, it’s hard to identify and tell between a fake and the real thing. I know, it’s a total bummer.
But, if you’re like me and you’re set on saving up for a designer bag but just don’t have the funds, then I have good news: there are plenty of great designer look-alike bags for you to shop. Let’s face it, just because you don’t have the bank account to afford the real deal doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to make a fashion statement, right?
There are many sites out there that offer designer look-alikes which look just enough like the designer bags to fool everyone but they cost a whole lot less. I’m going to share with you my favourite stores that offer these products. The first one is called Brandy Melville, they have amazing faux-leather pieces. The second is an online store called The Real Real which offers a wide variety of second hand designer bags that have been worn or used but are still in great condition.
The next place you should check out is Amazon. Amazingly, they offer some really realistic faux-leather pieces from different brands like Michael Kors, Chanel and Gucci. Despite the fact that the bags are not the real deal, they look like they are, and the quality is surprisingly good – plus they’re very affordable!
When it comes to deciding which of the bags are best to buy, my advice is to go for the ones with the most detail. Quality faux-leather is usually very soft and will not be too stiff when you look at it. You can also tell immediately if it is a good knockoff with the craftsmanship; if the chain is too thin or the hardware looks cheap, then it’s not a real designer bag.
So, now you know where to find the best fake bags, all that’s left for you to do is to start shopping! Just remember – save yourself the money and be careful to buy only the best knockoffs with lots of detail and craftsmanship. That way, the fashion-savvy world won’t even know the difference. What do you think?
