I recently got my hands on a fake Telfar Ugg bag and let me tell you, it’s a beauty! All of my friends were curious, asking to see it and I think I became the most popular girl in town for a few days. I couldn’t help but smile and say “thank you” every time someone complimented me. To be honest, it was kind of surreal!
The bag itself was really something else. It was made from a cozy white material, but it was super soft too. The faux fur Telfar logo was so plush I felt like I was touching a cloud. The straps were adjustable, so I could wear it over my shoulder or as a crossbody depending on how I felt. And, of course, it was really spacious, with multiple compartments so I could fit all my essentials plus a few extras.
However, the real test was when people realized it was a fake. I made sure to keep my cool and, instead of feeling embarrassed, started to talk to them about some of the benefits of having a knockoff over an original. Like, because it had been made cheaper, so, therefore, using it wouldn’t get me as attached as it would to a real one, and I wouldn’t have to worry about beating it up as much, plus, I could go for different colors or patterns over and over without spending too much money.
The conversation seemed to end then with a few more compliments, and I was so glad I had chosen to get a fake. A lot of people think these bags are “flashy” or only for special occasions but, like I said, I’m so glad I chose it over all the other bags because it made me feel both really cool and really comfortable.
