I picked up the cute bag and took it up to the counter like I was getting ready to make a purchase. But then the cashier made the biggest mistake ever. She told me that what I was carrying was a fake! Now, I know that this was probably her way of trying to warn me not to make a bad purchase, but it didn’t end well.
I dropped the bag and walked away feeling embarrassed and embarrassed about my poor judgment. I had a laugh to myself about it afterwards and made a mental note not to trust my judgement when it comes to fashion. With that being said, I suppose it’s safe to say that nothing good comes from buying a fake porter bag!
Then, I started to wonder about the stores and people that sell fake versions of designer items. I’ve heard they’ve become quite popular and are even made out of real leather and other materials of good quality. It then clicked: these people are really making a killing off of this!
Now, the idea of buying a fake designer item throws some people off the edge because of the moral or ethical implications, but at the same time buying these goods is cheaper than buying the real version and can save people some money. And, these bags are good quality as I mentioned. The only difference is the brand name.
But with that being said, I find that there is some guilt associated with buying a fake designer bag. Maybe it’s because I know that the original designer didn’t create this item and receive the appropriate credit and recognition- that leaves me feeling kind of funny about the whole situation.
I also find that I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I’m all for saving some money by buying these fake copies, but on the other, I have to wonder about what kind of an example I’m setting for others too.
Ultimately, I think that it all boils down to where you stand ethically and morally when it comes to buying fake goods. You can’t deny the convenience of being able to buy a cheaper version of designer items but without the label, but at the same time you have to think about your own personal integrity too. Those qualms should help guide you in making the right decision.
However, I think that it’s important to remember that while it’s not the real deal, these fake items are still made with quality materials. I recently purchased a fake porter bag and it’s held up pretty well! It may not have the same prestige as the real designer item, but I think it’s worth a second look in the right circumstances.
It’s also worth considering that sometimes, these fake bags are made in an effort to bring attention to an independent designer who may not have the funds to put out real designer bags. It’s a way of supporting these small-time designers, so that they can eventually get the recognition and financial stability they deserve.
At the end of the day, only you can answer the question of whether or not to buy fake porter bags. It’s a tough ethical dilemma, no doubt, but it’s one that you should weigh out for yourself. Ultimately, ask yourself if it would be worth it to you to save a few bucks and gain an item of good quality, or if you value the reputation of owning a genuine designer item instead.
Aside from the moral implications, I think it’s important to remember the practical reasons why a fake item can be the right choice. Cheaper goods provide a viable alternative for those of us who have budgetary restrictions and can’t afford the higher price tag that often comes with designer items.
In the end, maybe it is worth considering a fake porter bag if the budget is tight, but if we can afford it, we should definitely splurge and invest in the real thing. After all, it will have a much better payoff!
