fake bag status symbol

It’s not a surprise that fake bags are now a status symbol, especially because they look identical to the expensive designer bags! Not sure how I feel about it, it’s almost like a way of saying, “I have money and I can buy things that make me look rich” – but instead of spending that exorbitant amount on the real thing, you settle for the far-cheaper dupe.

I never thought I’d say this but, having a knockoff bag seems to be the cool and hip thing to do. Everywhere I go, it seems as if everyone is carrying a fake. I’m beginning to think that these fake bags can definitely get you to the cool-people table, if you know what I mean.

But, does that mean “fake is the new real”? Yes. Fake bags are so expensive that unless you are ready to invest in the real deal, then it’s a better option to go for the fakes. It seems counter-intuitive, but it’s a decision many are making.

However, this means that the rich people these bags where meant for in the first place are settling too. It’s like saying, “I have money and I can buy things but, even I won’t buy original anymore.”

I guess it depends on personal preference. Some people just prefer to buy the fakes, and why not? They still look amazing and if you manage to get a good one then there’s no way to tell the difference.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter if your bag is real or fake. All it does is make you look fashionable and stylish, whichever way you choose to go.

On the one hand, fake bags are cheaper, so you can buy more. On the other hand, it probably won’t work as a long term investment because in no time it might already be out of fashion.

However, one of the things that really bothers me is how people are now taking it to another level by manufacturing fake bags that look like the real thing. They would never be confused when buying, but there are sellers out there who use dishonest tactics to actually sell them as real!

It’s an absolute shame, and it almost seems like the more money you save, the more you cheat yourself. I honestly wish people would just go for the real designer bags, they’re worth the extra money.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. You can get a great knock off for a fraction of the cost or you can go big by investing in the real one. After all, the original is what made the trend possible, so why not go for the original instead of the fake one?

On the flip side, you can go big or go home too but, ironically the sacredness of a designer bag is now lost because of the growing popularity of the fake ones.

So, I guess only time will tell if fake bags will become the trend. In the mean time, I’ll just stick to buying the real thing to make sure I get the best quality. How about you?
