It all started with a Bag of Fake Leaves from Hobby Lobby. I had been in the craft store many, many times, but something intrigued me about this particular little item. So I decided to take a closer look. Little did I know this bag of fake leaves would forever change the way I look at crafting!
I remember it like it was yesterday; I opened up the bag of fake leaves and instantly I was in awe. Each and every leaf was so incredibly detailed and realistic looking! The colors were vibrant and rich – blues, greens and oranges so lifelike it was as if someone had plucked them right off the tree and placed them in a bag!
I knew I had to do something special with this bag of fake leaves and I quickly became obsessed. I had so many ideas and plans of what I was going to do with them. One thing led to another and I started creating all sorts of leafy crafts such as wreaths, wind chimes, wall art, collages and so much more. I was absolutely hooked!
The more I created with the leaves, the more I experimented with color combinations, textures and designs. I was having so much fun and I started to think to myself “who knew a bag of fake leaves could be so much fun!”. I even got my family involved and we started making projects together.
The Bag of Fake Leaves Hobby Lobby collection was an absolute hit! Everyone who saw the projects I had made was blown away. They couldn’t believe how the leaves looked so realistic, yet were so easy to craft with. It was like I had a secret stash of real leaves right at my fingertips!
The best part about this whole experience was the learning that took place along the way. I had to discover how the leaves reacted to certain paints and adhesives and which materials paired well with them. I also found some cool tips and tricks to achieving a certain effect or look that was difficult to get otherwise. In the end, I felt like I gained so much more than just a bag of fake leaves from Hobby Lobby.
My newfound hobby has taken me to new heights in my creativity. I’m still just as in love with my bag of fake leaves as I was the day I bought them. Between the color combinations, the intricate art pieces, and the ability to craft with them from the comfort of my own home, this bag of leaves has become a staple in my crafting adventure and I can honestly say I would be lost without it.
