When it comes to fashion, I’m always on the hunt for a great bargain. That’s why when I saw the amazing Coach bags for sale online I was like ‘Yes!!’. I hoped I found a good deal without getting ripped off. Little did I know, counterfeits are everywhere. So how do you know if the bag is real or fake?
It all began when I stumbled on a site that was selling Coach bags for 80% off. Sounded too good to be true, right? That’s what I thought. To make sure I wasn’t duped, I clicked on the bag, did some research, and found tips on how to spot a fake Coach bag. I was able to figure out right away that what the site was selling was a fake.
One key tip is to look at the stitching. Real Coach bags are crafted with the utmost precision creating perfect stitches. On the other hand, counterfeit bags are poorly stitched with uneven, loose and fraying threads. I checked out the stitching on the site, and sure enough, it was uneven and sloppy. Another great tip is to examine the imprinted logo. Genuine Coach bags have clear, crisp lettering while the fakes tend to have faint logos. When I looked at the logo on the site, it seemed blurry and faded.
But I take pride in finding great deals and was determined to find an authentic Coach bag. I started digging around online, and eventually found an authenticated site that sold real Coach bags. When I took a closer look at the bags I could see right away how different they were from the ones on the fake site.
The fabric felt thick and durable; the colors were vibrant and sharp; the zippers moved smoothly with solid stops when zipped up and down; and the letters of the logo were crisp. The quality was clearly much better, and I could tell these bags were the real deal!
I got so excited and bought myself the bag right away. I mean how could I not?! The bag was beautiful, well made and most importantly, authentic. It was everything I could’ve wanted!
That experience really opened my eyes to understanding the difference between real and fake Coach bags. Now, whenever I’m out shopping for this designer brand, I know exactly what to look for.
In the next sections, I want to expand further on the differences between fake and real Coach bags.
Firstly, let’s consider the differences in design. Fake Coach bags often feature substandard craftsmanship and cheap design. For example, fake bags often use cheap hardware such as poor quality zippers and threading that is easily frayed. On the other hand, real Coach bags are of high quality and feature robust fabric and leather, hardware and a well-stitched design.
Another important difference is the price. Counterfeit Coach bags are extremely affordable and can be sold at a fraction of the original price. On the contrary, real Coach bags are expensive due to the quality of the materials used.
Going further, let’s take a look at the holidays. Fake Coach bags are usually sold in large quantities and are not shipped to consumers before a certain time frame. On the other hand, stores selling authentic Coach bags are usually located close to the customers and have shorter delivery times.
Another distinguishing characteristic between fake and real Coach bags lies in the quality of the lining. Fake luggage will typically use inferior materials, such as polyester or plastic, as compared to the original. Authentic Coach bags are often lined with leather or other top quality material.
In terms of branding and labeling, fake Coach bags usually do not feature the correct or updated branding or labeling associated with the original. Real Coach bags will have the correct style accompanying logo, font, label and packaging.
Lastly, an easy way to tell a real Coach bag apart from a counterfeit is to look at the handles. Fake Coach bags will have thin handles with a strong odor, while genuine bags are constructed with thick and rigid handles that are odorless.
When it comes to buying a Coach bag, it pays to do your research and not get scammed out of your hard-earned money.
