I recently noticed a lot of people talking about the fake bags produced in Abu Dhabi. While I haven’t been there, I can safely say that I’m not a fan of counterfeit products.
To me, fake bags in Abu Dhabi just don’t sit right. I know for sure that the lifestyle, culture, and values of that city do not promote such things. It just seems kind of odd that such a place which is filled with beautiful architecture, as well as culture and traditional values is now being associated with making fake bags.
I know buying a fake bag can save you some money but it just doesn’t seem ethical to me. I have heard it said that the culture of many places don’t even accept the sale and purchase of these bags, even if it is from a different nation.
I don’t know about you, but one of the traits I value most in myself is honesty. I strongly believe that buying something which appears to be authentic but is actually a fake is not being honest. It is cheating, and I don’t think that is the right thing to do.
I’m not saying buying a fake bag in Abu Dhabi is completely wrong. Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. For me, I would never buy a fake bag in that city because I would see it as a form of betrayal towards the culture and values I am taught.
Maybe some people think otherwise and think that a fake bag in Abu Dhabi is nothing more than a cheap way to get a good-looking bag. I know it isn’t the same as the real thing and I am unconvinced that a fashion statement like a bag made by an experienced craftsman and tailor has the same value as a fake item.
I am offended by this idea and would never stoop so low to buy a fake bag in Abu Dhabi. That would really be going too far and might result in an un-repairable tarnish to my reputation and values.
Sure, it might be cheap but I think it is worth noting the true cost of buying a fake bag in Abu Dhabi. Whether it’s a person’s reputation, peace of mind or image, I believe that buying something fake that is produced in a place of culture and values is not worth the risk.
We all want to save some money but I don’t think it is right to do something that will hurt another culture, and ruin your own reputation. The lose always outweighs the gain in my opinion.
I am a firm believer that buying something fake is never a smart move. Good quality bags are made with due care, time and effort thus, buying something fake is like throwing money away.
A fake bag in Abu Dhabi might look nice initially but there is no guarantee that it will last in the long run. I can guarantee that the original will not only last longer but will also look better and be much more reliable.
What’s more, with a fake bag in Abu Dhabi, I don’t think you would be getting the best possible product. An original product always boasts of quality workmanship, materials, and design.
In addition, the idea of not putting the hard-working hands of people in Abu Dhabi to work by helping to promote the culture, values and lifestyle of the city by buying original bags does somehow disturb me. After all, buying something fake would only dilute this culture and rob a city of its essence.
I feel good quality bags tend to last longer and the money and effort put into making them are more than worth the cost. The majority of these Abu Dhabi originals are made in the age-old technique of hand-stitching and texturing that can’t be compromised by buying a fake.
I have seen some amazing pieces of craftsmanship in this city and I would never want to be a part of something that contributes to the tarnishing of that. Abu Dhabi is a beautiful place that celebrates variety and culture and I just don’t see this as being compatible.
No matter what anyone says, I would never buy a fake bag in Abu Dhabi. It goes against everything I value-ethics, honesty, and respect for others and I won’t be the one to compromise those values just to save a little money.
