I heard the other day about this super cool song, the Fake Birkin Bag Song – and it’s the best banger of a hook-up jam I’ve ever heard. It’s one of those songs that are just so damn catchy that, even if you make the effort to try and resist its contagiousness, you end up humming along in no time.
It’s a track that speaks to so many of us millennials out here chasing that coveted Birkin bag, even if it’s hard to admit it. The song’s message is one of ambition and trying to be the best you can possibly be, all so you can get yourself a Birkin bag. It’s an entertaining little parable of life and pursuing one’s dreams.
I was lucky enough to attend the track’s launch party and got to meet the artist behind it. It was definitely one of the most memorable moments I’ve ever had. Everyone was dancing and having the time of their lives, but what really made the night special was what the artist said – he said that he wrote the song to be an anthem for our generation.
He said the inspiration behind it came from his own personal struggles and challenges that life sends our way. He didn’t want to simply write a “love and sex” song – he wanted to write something meaningful and real.
The Fake Birkin Bag Song stands out to me because it acknowledges the desires and ambitions we all have, without judgment or ridicule. It’s a refreshing reminder that you don’t have to feel shame or guilt if you have aspirations, and that succeeding in life is always worth celebrating.
I love the message in the song, and I can’t help but be inspired to keep pushing for my dreams and goals. And it all starts with this little hook-up jam that makes me want to dance and feel hopeful that my Birkin bag is never too far away!
