I recently discovered a very clever trick. Someone is now able to make fake Cath Kidston bags in Singapore. I was shocked; I mean, who would buy something like that? Since they look just like the real thing someone who isn’t paying close attention can easily be fooled.
The other day, I found out from a friend of mine that she had purchased a Cath Kidston bag from a local store in Singapore. She was bragging om how good the deal was, and I was very intrigued. I asked her where she got it from, and to my surprise, it was from a place that sells fake designer goods.
I was so angry. I never thought it was possible for someone to make a fake Cath Kidston bag. I mean, it looks exactly like the real one, you would have to be eagle-eyed to spot the differences. I was worried that someone who doesn’t know any better might end up getting fooled.
I decided to do some research and found out that these bags is made in factories using poor quality materials. These factories are located in various countries in Asia, and are able to produce replicas of the original brands that look exactly the same, often at a fraction of the cost.
This has been going on for years, but it is only now that I am seeing issues with the bags. I’ve seen many pictures of these bags falling apart after just a few days of usage, and I am sure that this will get worse if something isn’t done to stop it.
I decided to take some action to spread awareness and to encourage people to not purchase these fake bags. I created a blog post outlining the different ways in which you can identify a fake Cath Kidston bag. I also shared my story and shared some tips for spotting the difference between a real and a fake bag.
My blog post was shared over quite a few social media platforms, and I even had a few people reach out to me asking for advice on how to distinguish between the real and the fake bags.
I also made sure to share my blog post to all the stores that were selling these fake bags. I wanted to make sure that people know what is going on and to discourage them from purchasing these bags. This way, I am confident, that some of the problem can be solved.
I also decided to contact a few of the Cath Kidston stores in Singapore to inform them about the fake bags issue. To my surprise, they were already aware of the problem, but they never knew it was this extreme.
The store manager told me that they have been in contact with the owners of these factories to try and stop them from making the fake bags, but it seems like it has been all for naught.
It is really disappointing to know that some shops are taking advantage of innocent people, and yet nothing can be done to stop them. It is something that can easily be avoided, if more people are educated about the issue.
The problem with counterfeit goods does not just stop with Cath Kidston, it is a global problem, and it is up to us to make sure that we are not contributing to the problem.
