When someone starts talking about bags under your eyes, automatically I assume that they don’t have enough sleep and that’s one of the reasons their under eyes look swollen and puffy like a balloon. But what if you’ve had enough sleep and yet have bags under your eyes? Well, don’t worry, there’s a way to fake it!
The first thing I suggest is to use an extra cushioning of makeup to make those bags seem less pronounced. It’s all about application; concealer and a colorcorrecting primer can be your best friends in this case. Primers will make your bags seem camouflaged and concealer will blur that puffy look away.
Another thing you can use is a highlighter. Just dab a highlighter on top of the bags and, using a light hand, spread it in an effective way as if you’re drawing an upside-down triangle under your eyes. That triangle will make your eye area look brighter and will give an illusion of your bags looking less severe.
For an extra edge without people knowing, use a cold compress. Find a cascognabag and fill it with ice cubes. Apply it onto your eye area and keep it there for at least ten minutes. After you take it off, you will see a remarkable change in the bags under your eyes. The cool temperature of the compress will constrict your blood vessels and will make the dark circles seem less visible.
Lastly, if you want to create a natural look, you can start with a moisturizer and then using your fingers go in with illuminator or liquid highlighters which will give a cool touched effect to your eye bags, bringing the brightness down. This is always my go-to method as you don’t need to worry about your makeup appearing too dramatic and yet your bags will look minimized.
Those are the tips I have to say about faking bags under the eyes. Now let me tell you one of my personal experiences about how to fake bags under the eyes. I used to have pretty puffy eyes when I wake up, so I decided to look for a remedy. I had read somewhere that by just taking a few drops of Vitamin E oil and rubbing it into the skin underneath your eyes can work wonders. Even though I didn’t have bags, I can certainly vouch for this trick as after a month’s use, I can definitely say that this helps to reduce the puffiness and make my eyes look rested and healthy.
When it comes to makeups, one of the most important things to remember is to always remember never to just use darker colours to hide the bags. The key here is to use lighter shades of concealers and illuminators so that you can bring brightness back to this area and avoid having caked on makeup. I like to use someydiffuser under my eyes to highlight and add a pop of colour. This helps to brighten up my eye area and gives it a natural look!
I also find that using face masks can really make a difference. My go-to face mask is therose water hydration one by Olay. It helps to brighten up my skin, reduce puffiness and add instant hydration to the skin under eyes. So even if you don’t have much time to spare, applying a face mask can really help if you want get rid of the bags under eyes.
When it comes to diet, my personal favorite is green tea. I love to sip on a cup of green tea every morning to help energize and nourish my skin and reduce the appearance of bags. The antioxidant properties of this magical tea helps to reduce puffiness and give my skin the glow that it needs.
These are some of the tips that I follow to fake my bags under eyes. I’m sure you’ll also be able to find better remedies if you try them out. I highly recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday to stay hydrated and help the skin beneath your eyes stay nourished. Applying a cucumber or potato mask can also work wonders for your skin. It helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness and makes the skin under your eyes look brighter. A simple home remedy of grated potatoes can also help reduce the appearance of bags. Just take some grated potatoes, place them in a muslin cloth and apply the cloth over your eyes for around 10 minutes. It helps to reduce the appearance of puffiness and also soothes the skin.
Taking some vitamin B and E capsules can also help in reducing puffiness around the eyes. They are natural anti-oxidants and help to reduce puffiness and brighten up the area. They contain essential fatty acids which help to nourish and moisturize the delicate skin.
Using a caffeine-based eye cream can also help to reduce the appearance of bags. Caffeine helps to reduce puffiness and lightens the dark circles. You can also try using a soothing eye serum to help keep your skin moisturized and nourished. It helps to hydrate and brighten the skin around the eyes and make it look more youthful.
Most importantly, it is important to get enough rest and sleep to keep the skin looking healthy and avoid appearing tired. Avoiding late-night sleeping, drinking plenty of water and maintaining a healthy lifestyle will definitely help to reduce the appearance of bags. I am sure these tips will help you fake bags under your eyes.
