I’m so excited to show you how to make a fake wasp nest paper bag! It’s actually so simple and really fun. I just tried it today and wow, it looks so realistic!

First, you’ll need to grab a brown paper bag. The sturdier it is, the better – it will help make sure your wasp nest looks amazing.

Then, take some fringed tissue paper and pick out the sizes you’d like for the wasps. Make sure not to use too much, or it will end up overwhelming your bag.

After you’ve got the tissue paper sorted, you’ll need to cut it up into smaller pieces. Any size you like will do; I found that the more variety I had, the more realistic the nest seemed.

Next, you’ll need to glue the pieces of tissue paper onto the bag. I found it easier to dip the pieces into my glue pot with some tweezers, which allowed me to place the pieces precisely.

To give the nest an extra realistic touch, I added some small twigs. I simply cut them to size with a pair of scissors and glued them onto the bag.

Finally, you’ll want to add some brown paint to the twigs to make them look like the bark of a tree. This final touch really ties the nest together and makes it look like the real deal!

I was seriously amazed by how much this fake wasp nest paper bag looked like an actual nest. You have to see it to believe it!

Now that you have the hang of it, you can create several variations of your own! You could try creating a bow-shaped nest, or a beehive looking one. You could even go full-on creepy and make a halloween themed wasp nest. The possibilities are endless!

And since you don’t need too many materials, this DIY project won’t cost you an arm and a leg. Plus, it’s super easy and doesn’t take too much time at all. Super fun and affordable!

One thing I really like about this project is it allows you to be creative and have fun. You can switch up the colors, sizes, and textures of the tissue paper to create your unique wasp nest paper bag. It’s a great way to add some pizzazz to your home or any special occasion.

Speaking of special occasions, you could also make your wasp nest paper bags as gifts! Just imagine the look on someone’s face when they open it and find your creative masterpiece inside. I’m sure whoever receives it will feel so loved and appreciated.

Another great idea is to make wasp nests to decorate for your wedding. Create several and spread them out along the venue to give your big day some added ambience. Your guests will be wowed by your crafty decorations!

You could even make wasp nests out of old, unused paper bags. It’s a great way to upcycle something and turn it into something so beautiful and creative.

To make sure your wasp nests won’t disintegrate over time, you can spray them with an acrylic sealant. This will ensure that your wasp nests last for a very long time and save you from having to make them over and over again.

Making a fake wasp nest paper plant is such an easy and rewarding craft. I’m so proud of the nest I made today and I can’t wait to make more! I’m sure you’ll find it just as fun and interesting.
