I’m sure you’ve heard of the whole debate around buying fake designer bags – and there’s no denying that on some level it can be an ethical dilemma. I mean, on the one hand, it’s not exactly honest, and if you’re dishing out a significant chunk of change it can be a real bummer when it turns out to be a lookalike, not the real deal. On the other hand, there are plenty of people who are just looking to save a few bucks, and I don’t know if there’s anything wrong with that.

My opinion is this: If you’re looking for a bag that looks like an expensive designer one, well, why not? I mean, it doesn’t really hurt the designer’s reputation and you will likely pay much less than the real thing. That said, there’s no way for you to know whether what you’re getting is a good-quality fake or a cheap knock-off, so it really pays to do your homework and make sure you’re getting what you paid for. Also – don’t forget that if anyone gets suspicious, it can be embarrassing for everyone involved.

In general, I think it’s worth considering the whole situation on a case by case basis. My friend Jen was telling me that she got a fake designer bag and it was pretty great – the quality was great, and she got it at a really reasonable price. She told me she had it for two years and it still looks like new! If it were me, I would definitely consider buying a fake designer bag if it looks really good and is a fraction of the price.

Another thing I’ve heard from a lot of people is that buying a fake designerbag can be a way to celebrate a special occasion or milestone. For example, my friend Mel was heading off to college and she got a fake designer bag to mark the occasion. She told me she loved it and was pretty proud of it, because it made her feel like she was actually purchasing something that she wanted even though it was a budget buy. So that’s something else to consider – if you’re not someone who spends a lot of money on expensive items, getting a nice looking fake designer bag could be an option.

That said, there are some definite drawbacks when it comes to buying fake designer bags. For one thing, while it might save you a few bucks in the short-term, they might not last quite as long as the real deal. That could be a problem if you’re expecting to get a lot of use out of it. Another thing to consider is that depending on where you buy it, you might not have a warranty, so if there’s any sort of defect you might be out of luck.

All in all, I think it really depends on your own personal circumstances. Buying a fake designer bag could be the perfect solution if you’re looking for something stylish and affordable, but if you’re looking for quality above all else then obviously you should opt for the real deal. What do you think – would you ever consider buying a fake designer bag?
