I’ve got a friend who should have known better than to buy a fake designer bag from someone off the street. She though she was getting a good deal on a Louis Vuitton, when in reality, it was a fake. It was a rude awakening for her when she found out.
I was in complete disbelief when she told me the whole story. She said that the person selling the bag was quite persuasive and made her feel like it was a great deal. But she should have known better because the bag was sold on the street at a drastically reduced cost compared to the designer store.
It was sad for her because she spent hard-earned money on this fake bag and felt cheated when she learned it was a fake. She felt embarrassed too, thinking about all the people that must have known she was walking around town with a fake designer bag.
It’s a reminder to all of us that while it might be tempting to buy something from the street, it’s best to stay away from such sales. Designer bags can be expensive, but its best to save up and buy them from the designer store rather than take a risk with a shady street seller.
My friend’s story is a real eye opener for me and it’s made me more aware of fakes and how to spot them. It’s amazing how convincing a fake designer bag can be and it’s taught me to be more alert and cautious.
At the same time, it’s also made me more aware of the fake designer goods that people are selling on the street. Most people don’t even realize they’re buying a fake, but sadly, that’s the reality.
So even though it’s true that it might be tempting to grab a deal on the street, its best to remember all the negative implications of falling for such a deal. Be smart and save up, you’ll be glad that you did in the end.
